Our Subsidized share program

We started the Subsidized Share program as a way to provide an affordable option to join our CSA (veggie box subscription program — otherwise know as Community Supported Agriculture). With this program we are following in the footsteps of farms like Soul Fire Farm, Shao Shan Farm and many others, trying to increase access to fresh produce in our community.

The basis of the idea is that community members in a higher income bracket or with greater access to wealth directly support (“Subsidize”) community members with lower incomes or less access to wealth, allowing our farm to remain financially viable. We realize that this is by no means a perfect solution to food apartheid and the long legacy of structural racism and colonization that affects communities of color, and does not address the issue of the lack of transportation among other key obstacles, but it is a step. This program allows us to offer our CSA at a lower price point to those who want to join. We are committed to continuing the fight for racial equity in agriculture and fighting hunger in our community in long-lasting, rooted and sustaining ways.

Visit our CSA page for more details about what kinds of vegetables will be in your boxes, prices, when they are available, and other options.

How it works

  1. Sign up for our CSA and select the option to purchase a Full, Half or Summer share for pick up on the farm every Wednesday from 5-7 PM between the first week of June and the last week of October.

  2. Request a subsidized share by clicking the button on our payment page or by simply Erica at erica@goodfindfarm.com with the subject “Request a Subsidized Share.” Please include your name and how we can contact you.

  3. We will contact you about payment. We also offer payment plans by installment. We take EBT card payments.

Feel free to reach out to us with any questions!
